Mr. V. A. Kamath - Head Management system & Training Consultant

Mr. V. A. Kamath commenced his maritime career in 1977 with The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd. He transitioned from sailing as Chief Engineer to a role as Technical Manager ashore in 1993. His journey led him to Eurasia Ship Management, where he served as a Technical Superintendent, refining his skills in maritime operations. In 2004, Mr Kamath assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer at MAN B & W Diesel (I) Ltd, overseeing operations across India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh until 2009. Subsequently, he joined TS Rahaman as a Consultant in Training, dedicating himself to advancing maritime education and expertise until 2015. Following a two-year tenure as a Consultant in Training at the Indian Register of Shipping, he resumed with TS Rahaman in April 2017, further contributing to the maritime industry's development and progress. Mr Kamath's academics boast of B.E. Mech with Hons. from VJTI, Marine Engineering with Extra First Class, M.S. in QMS from BITS Pilani, and now he's pursuing PhD from IMU
